Our Nerello Mascalese is bright ruby-red in colour, vibrant, with a lovely luminosity. The aroma is fine and complex, reminiscent of a variety of red fruits, with a sophisticated spicy character. On the palate, the elegance of the volcanic terroir shines through. The tannins are silky-smooth, balanced with a remarkable mineral character.

Our Nerello Mascalese is an extremely versatile wine. It goes perfectly with pasta dishes, either with white meat, or tomato-based sauces. It goes equally well with roasted meats, and also with flavoursome fish dishes and typical Mediterranean fish, such as tuna or swordfish, cooked on the grill.

This wine is made from 100% Nerello Mascalese. The name of the grape variety comes from the small village of Mascali, situated in the foothills of Mount Etna. Our Nero Mascalese grows at an altitude of around 400 metres above sea level.
Produced in the heart of Ragusa, our Nerello Mascalese completely perserves the personality of this grape variety, typical of Etna, with all the characteristics of its terroir. An extremely versatile wine, it makes the perfect aperitif to be drunk in the city, but is also the ideal accompaniment to fish dishes by the sea, such as grilled tuna.
